Entry Requirements

Current unrestricted General Registration with AHPRA.

  • Principles of Aesthetic Nursing

  • Health and Safety

  • Legislation and legal aspects

  • AHPRA codes and policies

  • Facial anatomy- Muscles, Vasculature and Vectors

  • Facial aging

  • Principles of aesthetic consultation

  • Photography in aesthetics

  • Consent

  • Handling client expectations and complaints

Assessment and Certification

​

  • There are both theory and practical assessments for this course

  • An Australian Academy of Cosmetic Nursing certificate will be issued on completion of the course.

  • This course will provide 4 hours of CPD

Foundations of Anti-wrinkle Treatments

Description

 

The foundation half day training course in anti- wrinkle treatments is specifically designed to meet the needs of Registered Nurses looking to gain entry into the field of Cosmetic Nursing and facial aesthetics.

Entry Requirements

  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA

  • Successful completion of Introduction to Cosmetic Nursing course.

  • Pre course theory

  • Visual presentations;

  • Demonstrations;

  • History  of Botulinum toxin

  • Botulinum Toxin in practice

  • Core knowledge

  • Dilution ,reconstitution  and storage  requirements

  • Dosages  in practice

  • Doctor consultation and prescribing

  • Client preparation

  • Injection techniques and practice

  • Post  care advice

  • Documentation

  • Side effects and how to deal with them

Practical Injecting  and  Mentoring Program

Description

​

This one of  a kind practical injecting and mentoring for  anti- wrinkle treatments is specifically designed to meet the needs of Registered Nurses entering  the field of cosmetic nursing and facial aesthetics who have successfully completed  the Academy Introduction to Cosmetic Nursing and Foundations of Anti-Wrinkle  treatments courses. This allows you to start practising immediately and confidently straight after the training course.

Entry Requirements

  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA

  • Successful completion of Introduction to Cosmetic Nursing course and Foundations of Anti-Wrinkle  treatments

  • Current CV

  • Current CPR  and anaphylaxis certificate

  • Proof of personal indemnity Insurance

  • Successful interview with Medical Director

Details of program

You will be mentored one on one by a cosmetic clinical nurse specialist in a clinic environment for a minimum of 20 supervised anti –wrinkle treatments and follow-ups on model clients.

Certification

  • There are practical assessments for this course in the form of a logbook.

  • An Australian Academy of Cosmetic Nursing certificate will be issued on successful completion of your course.
